Transforming lives through fostering
Rated outstanding by Ofsted, we are a small team who truly makes a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
We believe in fostering
Our aim is to provide high quality services to children and families that are individualised, professional, warm and empathetic and valued by the people who use them. Find out more about us and how we work.
How do we ensure that fostering is a positive experience for our children and carers?
Support: We provide outstanding support to our foster carers. We know all of our carers and children very well. This means we understand their individual circumstances and needs. Understanding our children and carers is key in our approach to advocating for them. What’s more, our carers agree with us. Meet our foster carers here. You can read a range of testimonials, from carers to our children to Ofsted, here.
Training: One of our key roles is to help foster carers build knowledge, confidence and resilience. We do this through our varied training and development programme. You can find out more about the excellent training opportunities we offer here.
Young Person’s and Birth Children’s forums
We want to ensure that all children’s voices are heard and that they shape our service. Our young people regularly meet and discuss all elements of life including how the agency can better support them and their carers. Our birth children also meet to support one another and some of the older, more experienced birth children mentor the younger ones.
Fostering where I live
Eastern Fostering Services has families in Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. We are always looking for fostering families in these areas.
Putting the FUN into fostering
Being a foster carer is hard work but we believe it should be fun too! We put on plenty of events for our families. These help us to build a supportive fostering community and ensure that we celebrate one another.
As a prospective foster carer, you will need to find out as much as you can. We’re here to help you at this stage of your journey. Why not come to one of our fostering information events? You can find out more about our events on our Facebook page.
