Fostering Near Me: Support and Community Across Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire

At EFS, we are proud to be a small, dedicated fostering agency based in East Bergholt. While our office is at the heart of Suffolk, our services extend across Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire. This means that wherever you are in these counties, support, training, and community are never far away.

We have foster carers in all four counties, and we understand how important it is for carers to build connections with one another. That’s why we make it easy to meet other carers, share experiences, and feel part of a wider supportive network. Whether through training, activities, or support groups, there’s always an opportunity to engage with fellow carers and our friendly team.

Our training sessions are generally held at our East Bergholt office, conveniently accessible from all surrounding areas. We carefully design our calendar so that carers don’t have to travel long distances repeatedly. For our fun activities and social events, we rotate locations each time, giving different carers the chance to participate without the burden of lengthy travel. The same principle applies to our support groups, ensuring that everyone can join in and benefit from peer support and guidance.

At EFS, we make sure that support is always accessible, no matter where you are. Each foster carer has a supervising social worker who will travel to your home for monthly supervisions, providing one-to-one guidance tailored to your needs. Beyond scheduled visits, our team is available 24/7, so you can access advice, support, or help in urgent situations at any time. Whether it’s a question about fostering, a concern about a placement, or just some reassurance, you are never alone.

By fostering with us, you’re not just helping children and young people—you’re joining a caring community. Our local presence across Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire means that support is always close by, training is accessible, and meaningful connections with other carers are easy to build.

If you’re looking for fostering opportunities near you, we’d love to hear from you. Join EFS and become part of a network where carers are valued, supported, and connected.
